The conditions for using the Online Ruler measuring tools
Last updated 2026/09/06
By using Online Ruler (the "Site"), including the screen ruler, image measurement tool, and unit converter, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site provides free, browser-based measuring tools. No account is required, and no software is installed. The tools run entirely on your device.
On-screen measurements depend on your display's true pixel density and on how carefully you calibrate and verify the ruler. Calibration does not establish a universal error bound, and the tools are not certified measuring instruments.
Do not rely on the Site for measurements where an error could cause injury, financial loss, or legal consequences, such as engineering, medical, or commercial work. Verify critical dimensions with a physical measuring device.
You agree not to:
The Site's code, design, text, and graphics are owned by the operator of Online Ruler or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright laws. You may use the tools for personal and commercial measuring, but you may not copy the Site itself.
The Site may display advertisements served by third parties and may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, products, or privacy practices of those third parties.
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Online Ruler will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Site, including losses caused by inaccurate measurements.
We may change or discontinue the Site at any time. We may also revise these terms; the revised terms apply from the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
If you have questions about these terms, use the contact details published in the site footer.
